Two places, and it is worth knowing both. GeorgiaCares is Georgia’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) — trained counselors who answer Medicare questions with no sales relationship at all. Call 1-866-552-4464 and choose option 4, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. And medicare.gov (1-800-MEDICARE) is the official source for plan lookups and enrollment windows.
An independent agent is the third path — someone who can compare the options across a number of carriers and sit with you through the details, also at no cost to you. Where do I handle Social Security around Cumming?
There is no Social Security office in Cumming itself — the nearest field office is in Gainesville. Most things (benefit applications, replacement cards, Medicare enrollment through Social Security) can be done online at ssa.gov or by phone at 1-800-772-1213, and the office locator will confirm the current address and hours before you drive.
